500 million particles. Built in Houdini to create a flowing particle field that evolves into the mobile wallpaper itself. Exploring scale, motion, and emergence through simulation.

THE CHALLENGE
For this piece, the challenge was art directing hundreds of millions of particles to create a seamless flow from the environment into the phone screen, building a surreal, immersive transition between the two.
This was achieved through extensive look development in Houdini, carefully dialing in particle count, motion, and flow with precise control over the simulation.
UNDER THE HOOD: USING HOUDINI & CINEMA 4D
Houdini is an incredibly powerful tool when it comes to achieving this level of precision in simulation and animation. Coupled with Cinema 4D and Redshift, it seamlessly integrates and goes from art direction to render.
