ORIGIN STORY
Ian Mills Miller is a multidisciplinary director, animator, and motion designer exploring the intersection of cinematic storytelling, surreal imagery, and digital craft. Through his studio, IM Creative, he develops immersive visual worlds using 3D animation, CGI, and a hybrid of 2D and 3D techniques.
His work spans film, television, advertising, and music, where he focuses on creating atmospheric visuals that merge narrative, design, and motion. Ian has created visuals for artists including Bon Jovi and Lil Wayne, while also contributing visual effects work on feature films in collaboration with studios such as Picturehead in Los Angeles. His work also includes the development of cinematic title sequences and motion design across a range of productions.
Driven by curiosity for the abstract, the sensory, and the unknown, Ian’s process centers on experimentation, look development, and pushing the limits of digital tools. The result is bold, surreal imagery that blends cinematic direction with contemporary motion design—creating visuals that captivate, intrigue, and expand the boundaries of visual storytelling.
