WINNIE LA POOH
Project: Winnie La Pooh - Title Sequence
Studio: IM Creative
Role: 2D/3D Motion Design | Animation
The concept for this project was to bring a blaxploitation-inspired title sequence to life using a mix of 2D and 3D elements. I designed a custom character to reflect the film’s lead, then built the world and environments that the character travels through. This approach shaped a cinematic direction that follows the dark mischief of our protagonist’s journey.
STILL FRAMES:
UNDER THE HOOD: MARVELOUS DESIGNER
I chose Marvelous Designer for the cloth simulations on my character because of its fast simulation times and intuitive workflow. It’s become a go-to tool for many of my projects. The extensive clothing library is easy to customize for different characters, and the process of exporting via Alembic to any DCC is seamless.
BEHIND THE SCENES:
Here is a look at my process and workflow using Cinema 4D. Rendering is perhaps the most gratifying portion of animation and 3D design. It's also at times the most grueling. Each render is dependent upon the scene's complexity and can take up huge chunks of time.

COMPOSITING:
In After Effects, I applied a paper paintbrush style by layering brush strokes over 2D imagery while incorporating 3D space to create a unique, customized look. Using the same approach, I built 3D sequences tailored to the film’s narrative and integrated the paintbrush style throughout, giving the project a cohesive, stylized aesthetic that enhances the dramatic tone of the film.
